Desk Air Conditioner I Have A 1.5 Ton Central Air Conditioner For My 1672 Sq Ft. Home, Is That Enough?

I have a 1.5 ton central air conditioner for my 1672 sq ft. home, is that enough? - desk air conditioner

I also have a basement, if it makes a difference.
The reason I ask is that I can keep my house below 80 degrees, without a desk fan blowing directly on my thermostat. The problem is that my air unit is too small?
