Would a "Long-form marriage certificate" contain the same info as a "Marriage license application"? - marriage license bureau/ queens

I want to ask for dual citizenship (Irish) and the consulate that my grandparents, to request a marriage license (to my grandparents' place of birth, age at marriage, etc..) To see, however, the office demands Marriage in New York who have never heard of such a thing and have only a "marriage certificate, long form", but to show what they are in it up to pay for it. No idea whether the same thing only with a different title?
